Schedule: Day or Afternoon Shift
Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare jobs
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret shop drawings
- Fabrication and forming of mild steel and stainless steel
- Machine set-up
- Operate brake press and V-groove machines
- Fabricate/assemble/finish metal components
- Assure quality of work produced is acceptable to company standards and specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain a safe work environment following all Health and Safety guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS
- Two year experience operating a CNC machine brake press (Media6 IMG operates Amada, Allsteel, Accurpress, and other machines)
- Fabrication/assembly experience
- Understanding and knowledge of steel fabrication techniques as well as steel grades
- Must be able to calculate bend allowance on material as well as selecting proper dies
- Must be able to use a Vernier Caliper working to very tight tolerances (imperial and metric)
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret shop drawings
- Be a team player by displaying a positive outlook, communicating effectively, and working cooperatively in a team environment
